Tint is cut, installed and cured indoors at our Henderson bay rather than in a parking lot, which is what keeps dust and contamination out from under the film.
In this valley tint is a heat problem before it is a looks problem. Summer surface temperatures inside a closed car climb far beyond ambient, and that heat is what cracks dash pads, dries out leather bolsters, and makes the first five minutes of every drive unpleasant. The film you pick decides how much of that heat ever gets in.
The important thing to understand is that darkness and heat rejection are not the same measurement. A quality ceramic film in a lighter shade will typically reject more infrared heat than a cheap dark dyed film, while leaving you far better night visibility and staying inside Nevada's legal limit on the front doors.
Nevada law under NRS 484D.440 requires front side windows to allow more than 35 percent of light through. Windshields may take non reflective tint above the AS-1 line. Rear side windows and the back glass have no darkness limit. We install to that standard and will tell you when a request falls outside it.

Where to go next with tint
Tint is the cheapest way to drop cabin heat, but it does nothing for the paint. Owners parking outside usually add a ceramic coating for UV and water spotting, and highway commuters add paint protection film on the front end.
